Physical Office Update

July 7, 2021

To our valued community,

Happy summer! We hope you continue to stay healthy and safe. This month, NMCAN’s physical office remains closed, and our staff is still partly working from home. However, as we see increased vaccination rates in our community, please know that we are developing a plan for a phased approach to opening our office. This will include:

  • Limited office hours when we will be open to young people who are vaccinated; hours will vary.
  • Small in-person prep meetings for staff and young people who attend external meetings with partners (virtual or in-person).
  • In person meetings between staff and young people in the office.  Young people who are not vaccinated will be encouraged to set up an appointment with staff ahead of time so we can plan as needed.

We expect that these changes will occur in early August. At that time, we will also provide guidelines about transportation assistance, children visiting the office, and future NMCAN events.

Thank you for your patience during this stressful time. We are very excited to see you, but we want to do all we can to ensure you and your loved ones stay healthy. This means that we are discussing all factors around the ongoing global pandemic, such as no vaccine access for people under the age of 12.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at 505-217-0220.

If you are interested in getting vaccinated, learn more at https://nmcan.org/vaccine/. Don’t forget – getting vaccinated = $100 incentive!

Looking forward to seeing you soon! Thank you,

The NMCAN team
