NMCAN: 2022-2023 Annual Report is Ready!

NMCAN is excited to share our 2022-2023 Annual Report, a testament to resilience, community, and unwavering dedication to creating meaningful change in our community and the lives of young people impacted by foster care, juvenile justice, and homelessness. Young people’s leadership and lived experience are at the core of our mission, critical to establishing innovative systems of support for young people transitioning into adulthood – support systems in which families can develop healthy community connections, access resources without stigma, heal from generational trauma, and lead satisfying lives in communities.

Thank you! Your support has been the cornerstone of the organization’s achievements throughout this year, and we are immensely grateful for you. These are some highlights of what we’ve accomplished this year:

  • Our community is growing!  136 young people were part of the NMCAN community
  • We provided 1:1 coaching over 3,000 times to young people around various life domains, including leadership development, employment, education, finance, parenting, relationships, housing, and transportation. 77% of young people shared that NMCAN helped connect them to the support, resources, and community members that helped them achieve their educational goals.
  • 71% of young people are confident in their ability to work with others to advocate for improvements that affect young people and families
  • We moved into our home in early 2023! We’ve had a successful year creating a safe, collaborative community space for young people to drop in!

Please read the 2022-2023 Annual Report, to see more of our highlights and activities we’ve been working on over the past year. Thank you so much for your continued support and belief in NMCAN and NMCAN’s young people and families.
