Happy fall! NMCAN continues to reconnect with young people via in-person programming that grows their leadership skills and strengthens our relationships with each other. Our office remains open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Please drop by to say hello!

This year, we have been hard at work to advocate for the systemic changes in which young people and their families can access resources without stigma and lead satisfying lives in safe communities. NMCAN’s new video series about the juvenile justice system discusses how this type of involvement, like foster care, is usually associated with poverty and has a lasting impact on children.

We encourage you to watch our videos and share them with your family and friends. Ensuring everyone in our community has access to factual information about the juvenile justice system in NM is the first step in having meaningful and productive conversations about rebuilding broken systems and ensuring children get the opportunities they deserve to become successful adults.
