Updated August 2021
To our valued community,
We hope you continue to stay healthy and safe. NMCAN’s physical office remains closed, and our staff is still partly working from home. We are implementing a phased approach to reopening the office and cautiously returning to full capacity as we see increased vaccination rates in our community.
We are following the guidelines of New Mexico Workforce Solutions (NMWS), New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO). Here are the current updates of our phased reopening:
- Staff can meet out in the community and will follow safety protocols.
- Staff can transport vaccinated young people to NMCAN events with proper usage of masks.
- There is limited office access for specific NMCAN projects and safety protocols in place.
With these guidelines, meetings, events, and training will continue to occur in a combination of in-person and virtual spaces.
Thank you for your patience during this stressful time. We are very excited to see you, but we want to do all we can to ensure you and your loved ones stay healthy. This means that we are discussing all factors around the ongoing global pandemic, such as no vaccine access for people under the age of 12.
Please contact any staff member if you have questions, concerns, or comments about this update.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
The NMCAN team
